INSPIRE ARTS & MUSIC WELCOMES NEW DIRECTOR OF ACCOUNTING

January 20 , 2016 - Today Inspire Arts & Music, parent organization of the Boston Crusaders Drum & Bugle Corps, is proud to announce that Donna Monte will join the full-time staff as the organization’s Director of Accounting and Administration. Ms. Monte holds a BSBA in Accounting from Suffolk University and attended the Sawyer Business School, also at Suffolk, earning a Master's of Accounting degree.

She has held the position of Staff Accountant at Edelstein & Company, LLP in Boston as well as at Key Polymer Corporation in Lawrence. Prior positions include Accounting Supervisor at Cambridge Soundworks, Staff Accountant at Baker, O’Connor & Company and Accounting Associate at Optimum Systems Technologies, Inc.

In addition, Donna has been involved in the marching arts activity since 1978 when she got involved in the Citations Drum & Bugle Corps. In 1990,  she became part of the management team of the Citations and went on to  become the Executive Director--steering the drum corps to become a nationally competing performing arts organization at DCI Open class level.

“Donna brings tremendous professional experience, the passion it takes to keep up with the growth of Inspire, and an in-depth understanding of our various lines of business,” states Christopher Holland, Chief Operations Officer and Executive Director.

Donna is excited to fill the role of Director of Accounting for Inspire. “I am thrilled to be the newest addition to the Inspire team. As both an accountant and past drum corps director, I look forward to utilizing my professional strengths in financial management with my personal passion for the drum corps and musical arts activity,” states Donna Monte.

Donna currently resides in Burlington, MA.
