Under the direction of Ben Paulding, founded in 2015, the Hyde Park Youth Percussion Ensemble (HYPE), was designed to explore different cultures, music, and instruments from around the world and is combined with the students’ coursework in social studies, math, science, and language arts. This free program, offered weekly at the Thomas Menino YMCA and Channing School in Hyde Park, serves children ages 7 - 13.
