The Boston Crusaders and Inspire Arts & Music are pleased to announce that our very own Chris Holland was recently named the Drum Corps International Board Chair!
During the DCI Annual Meeting held virtually this past January, Executive Director and COO Chris Holland was elected to a three year term as Chair of the Drum Corps International Board of Directors. In this role, Chris will draw on his years of experience in the marching arts, law, and education, to guide and provide oversight to the entire board of directors and the DCI company.
Chris has served as the Executive Director of the Boston Crusaders and COO of Inspire Arts & Music since 2015. An alumnus of the 1986-1994 corps, Chris has held a multitude of roles in the corps and the activity including instructor, caption head, board member, and now director. After his marching days, Chris served as the brass caption head for the Boston Crusaders and Phantom Regiment, as well as brass staff for Carolina Crown. Chris began his career in music education and is the former director of the Norwood High School Bands in Norwood, MA. After his tenure at Norwood, Chris earned his J.D. and served as a trial attorney in the Essex County District Attorney’s office before moving on to private practice.
Currently, Chris represents the Boston Crusaders on DCI’s Tour Reopening Task Force. This committee, comprised of health professionals and activity leaders, was formed in the spring of 2020 to create safe reopening and operating guidelines in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
We look forward to seeing Chris’s knowledge and passion for the activity continue to shine in this new capacity. Congratulations, Chris!
