Call For New Board Members

Board of Directors Application

Inspire Arts & Music, Inc., operates youth arts educational programs including the Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps, Great East Music Festivals, Fantastic Festivals, and Hyde Park Youth Percussion Ensemble (HYPE). Through a unique blend of education and performance opportunities, our mission is to help young adults achieve excellence in the arts. Our programs seek to develop young adults in scholastic and non-scholastic fine arts activities.

We are seeking applications to be considered for open seats on the Inspire Arts & Music Board of Directors. The Board of Directors, which is volunteer and unpaid, is our highest level of governance, and collectively holds fiduciary responsibility for the entire organization. The Board has many roles. We fundraise, approve and oversee execution on a budget, oversee and support the CEO, and in cooperation with the CEO and other staff, create and lead the execution for our strategic vision. Over 40 people make up the Inspire Arts & Music Board of Directors, providing a strong foundation for our youth. Many, although not all, of our directors are alumni of Inspire Arts programs, and we all share one passion: the arts. Meet our board by clicking here.

Nominations and elections for seats on the Board of Directors are competitive, and not all applicants will receive an interview. A limited number of seats are open based on term expirations and other considerations and all potential new Directors are subject to election by the Board. These Director positions are available for start dates on October 1, 2026 (or as otherwise agreed-upon).
