IAM Receives Grant From Chick-fil-A True Inspiration Award

Thanks to your votes this fall, Inspire Arts & Music has been named a 2023 Chick-fil-A True Inspiration Award grant recipient! We have received $50,000 to help us further expand and strengthen our community music programs.

The True Inspiration Awards were established in 2015 to carry on Chick-fil-A Founder S. Truett Cathy’s legacy of generosity and community service. To be selected, a nonprofit must work to address a key issue that aligns with Chick-fil-A’s corporate social responsibility priorities: Caring for People, Caring for Others through Food, Caring for Our Communities and Caring for our Planet.

With this grant, we plan to strengthen, improve, and expand our urban music program, Hyde Park Youth Percussion Ensemble (HYPE). The funds from this grant will allow us to purchase more instruments, hire additional educators, and renovate our building to provide additional programming space for our students. This generous gift from Chick-fil-A ultimately helps us provide access to music education to more students, right here in our home of Boston.

We would like to thank Operator Matt DeMichele-Rigo from Chick-fil-A Copley Square for nominating us for this award. We are grateful for your continued support and cannot wait to continue doing great work in our community.
